The Vaughn Whole-Home Renovation
Whole-Home
After a flood in St. Pete, the Vaughns turned a setback into the right moment to upgrade — new tile floors throughout the whole home, fully custom kitchen cabinetry, new marble countertops and backsplash, and new appliances across roughly 2,200 square feet.

The starting point
The Vaughns' home in St. Petersburg had flooded. That is the kind of event that forces a decision: patch it back to what it was, or use the moment to do the work you had been meaning to do anyway. Christina and her family chose to upgrade, and brought us in to handle both the recovery and the improvements as one coordinated project.
The scope
Because the flooring had to come up across the home anyway, it was the right time to redo it properly. We tiled the entire home's floors — roughly 2,200 square feet — giving the whole house a consistent, durable, water-tolerant foundation that makes sense for a Florida home that has already seen one flood.
In the kitchen, we built fully custom cabinetry rather than stock or semi-custom, fit to the family's space and how they use it. We installed new marble countertops and a matching backsplash, and brought in new appliances throughout. The kitchen went from a flood-damaged room to the most refined space in the house.
The outcome
What started as flood recovery became a whole-home upgrade the family will get years out of — new floors end to end, a custom kitchen, and finishes chosen to last. The setback became the reason the house is now better than it was before the water came in.
